Mission Statement
The Fabric Stock Exchange Blog is an online community devoted to everything textiles. From the latest news and trends to great resources and so much more, we have all it here. Our goal is to create a site that is fun, educational, informative and interactive. We’d love to hear from you, so send us feedback, comment on our posts, or send us an article of your own. We are having a blast with this and we hope you do too…Fabrics are fun!

Sheryl Sapriel
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Sheryl has worked for Halston, Calvin Klein and Oleg Cassini before starting her own fabric jobbing business, Swatches at the age of 23. Sheryl, the owner of The Fabric Stock Exchange, a fabric brokering company, wanted to offer more to the Textile community so she created this blog. It’s her way of creating a central location for the Industry to congregate, communicate and have some fun. Textile Talk combines the knowledge of Sheryl's more than 30 years of Industry experience with the efficiencies of the internet and the expansion of the global marketplace.
Nicole Giordano
Nicole, an accomplished freelance handbag designer and entrepreneur is substantially experienced in business operations, brand management, and social media as well as being versed in navigating artistic development. Since graduating Philadelphia University’s Textile Design program, she has overseen all the operations of her design label, as well as taken positions handling the business operations for Fleishman’s Fabric on Philadelphia’s Historic Fabric Row and Blue Star Silk in New York City’s Garment District. Some of her press includes reputable media outlets like The New York Post, MF Magazine, Daily Candy, and Philadelphia Magazine.
Stephanie Molishus
Stephanie is currently enrolled at Drexel University, where she is pursuing a degree in corporate communication and public relations. Stephanie’s passion for fashion has motivated her to pursue a future career in the fashion industry. With several internships under her belt and a degree close at hand, she is well on her way to reaching her dream of becoming a PR maven.
Julie Umbenhauer
Julie is a multi-talented fiber artist who works in many different fiber-related techniques –quilting, weaving, spinning, fashion sewing and mass-producing functional objects. She received her BFA in Crafts (Fibers) and BS in Art Education from Kutztown University. When not creating functional objects, she works on a long time series of forest-inspired weavings and paints on fabric to make art quilts. Her day time job as Wholesale Manager at Fabric Mart in Sinking Spring, PA, is where she has regained her love and passion for fashion sewing!
